Grade A Tree

FAQs

The top reason to have your trees trimmed is safety. Hanging tree branches over structures and other property can cause damage when they fall. Not to mention the danger these branches can pose to our friends and family should they break and fall to the ground. Another reason is the health of your trees. By removing diseased or insect-infested wood, pruning the crown to increase airflow, and trimming branches that compete with each other can all make your tree stronger and help it withstand pests and severe weather.

If your trees pose a concern to your safety, your property or are visibly diseased or unhealthy, they may need immediate pruning. Otherwise, it is recommended to trim your trees at least once a year.

The best time to prune most trees is during the winter months when trees are dormant. During the dormant winter months, it is less likely that your cuts will result in disease or pest problems and come spring, you'll see a vigorous burst of new growth as a result.

Early spring as this gives cover to roots for tree and shrub protection from heat and weeds. Also, gives excellent curb appeal.

The best time to trim shrubs would be fall and winter months, although trimming in spring is also good. The only time you do not want to trim is in the hot summer months.

We use Snapshot or Preen and it is preventative maintenance that should be applied in spring and will last for 4-5 months.
