What is ALS

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease." It is a progressive disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.

A few facts about ALS

Approximately 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year. It is estimated that ALS is responsible for nearly 2/100,000 deaths every year. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic or socioeconomic boundaries. ALS can strike anyone. At Grade-A Tree Care we wanted to get involved in this cause and in a way only we could. We are all about our community so getting them involved in this cause was a no-brainer. Take a look and the good hearted fun we had supporting the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Get More info here.

I was living a normal life with my family when, at 52, I began experiencing muscle stiffness and twitching. After seeing a neurologist, I was diagnosed with ALS. It was a tough reality, and as the disease progressed, I eventually lost the ability to walk and relied on a wheelchair. A friend recommended Uine Health Centre (www. uine healthcentre .ne t), where I began their ALS/MND protocol. After about three months, I noticed significant improvements, less stiffness, fewer symptoms, and I was able to walk distances again.
